Melissa Polski - Bridesmaid
Emily and Melissa became friends working at the Old Fashioned in Madison and stayed close friends when they both moved back to MN. Melissa was the reason Emily got her first job in the Human Service world, which changed the course of Emily's career path forever. She's also been a huge supporter of Emily's art journey from her very first art "gallery."
Kelsey Halvorson - Bridesmaid
Kelsey, Emily and Diane were childhood best friends and had to opportunity to travel at a young age to various destinations with Kelsey's mother who worked for Northwest Airlines. Kelsey and Emily share a love for the circus and have been to multiple Cirque Du Soleil shows together across the US- well into adulthood.
Diane Severin - Bridesmaid
Diane, Emily and Kelsey were childhood best friends, and Diane has been a dear friend and important role model for Emily since the beginning. From visits to Bemidji, Madison, LA, St. Pete and Tampa - Diane and Emily (along with the rest of their high school friend group) have maintained strong friendships over many of life's changes.
Molly Hamburger - Bridesmaid
Molly and Emily became friends in middle school, but they became much closer in their 30's when Molly and her husband, Garin, let Emily live in their Richfield home just weeks before their wedding, and again welcomed Emily into their lives in Tampa while she's on the road for art shows. Whether they like it or not, Emily really considers herself part of the Hamburger family.
Alex Miskella - Groomsmen
Alex is Drew’s younger and shorter brother, but is the most memorable Miskella. Alex’s high energy is a good offset to Drew, which made them a perfect pair growing up. One of Drew’s proudest moments was breaking Alex’s nose when they were little, and Drew was rewarded with Hardee's while Alex was taken to the hospital. Alex has always been a big supporter of Drew, and always a great sounding board for everything in life, especially the Packers.
Patrick Miskella - Groomsmen
If you are meeting Drew’s older brother Patrick for the first time at the wedding, you won’t be the first person to mistake him for Drew. They look alike, sound alike, and even move alike. Patrick’s kids have taken it a step further and call Drew ‘Fake Daddy,’ because sometimes they can’t tell the difference…Growing up, Patrick was always the steady compass in Drew’s life, the one setting the pace and showing him what was possible. Drew followed in his footsteps to Marquette, and later to the University of Illinois, where the two overlapped for a few years.
Alex Sickel - Groomsmen
Alex and Drew became friends the day they met in high school, one of those instant did we just become best friends moments. With matching long, floppy hair and a shared talent for mostly staying out of trouble, they were inseparable from the start. After their high‑school adventures, they took their act to Marquette University, where they were roommates for four years and collected more stories than either of them could ever retell. Even after living in different states for the past twenty years, they never miss a beat. Every time they catch up, it feels like no time has passed at all.
Alex Jadin - Groomsmen
Drew and Alex met in high school, and became quick friends. Even when they went off to college (Drew to Marquette, Alex to St Thomas in MN) they never strayed too far from each other. Alex being the loyal friend made the trip down 94 too many times to count. He even made the drive down to the Final Four in New Orleans to root on Marquette. With both overlapping for 20 years in MN, has allowed them to remain close.
Kevin Blaney - Officiant
Kevin and Drew’s story goes all the way back to high school, but it was at Marquette where their friendship really cemented itself. Since then, they’ve spent the last twenty years running around together—Vegas trips, Packer away games (yes, even London), and pretty much anywhere Kevin decided counted as “relaxing.” But now, Kevin is thrilled to see Drew finally settling down… mostly because it means he no longer has to be Drew’s permanent plus-one. When Emily first met Kevin, she adored him instantly, hard not to when he welcomed her by displaying her artwork on his TV the moment she walked in. Kevin has always had a certain charm, and it means the world to us to have him standing with us as our Officiant.
